GB3087 is a Chinese national standard that mainly specifies the technical requirements for seamless steel pipes for low and medium pressure boilers. Common materials include No. 10 steel and No. 20 steel, which are widely used in the manufacture of superheated steam pipes, boiling water pipes and boiler pipes for low and medium pressure boilers and steam locomotives.

Composition: Carbon content is 0.07%-0.14%, silicon content is 0.17%-0.37%, and manganese content is 0.35%-0.65%.
Features: It has good plasticity, toughness and welding properties, and is suitable for medium pressure and temperature conditions.

Composition: Carbon content is 0.17%-0.23%, silicon content is 0.17%-0.37%, and manganese content is 0.35%-0.65%.
Features: It has higher strength and hardness, but slightly inferior plasticity and toughness, and is suitable for higher pressure and temperature conditions.
Use scenarios
Boiler water-cooled wall tubes: withstand the radiant heat of the high-temperature gas inside the boiler, transfer it to water to form steam, and require the tubes to have good high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

Boiler superheater tubes: used to further heat saturated steam into superheated steam, requiring the tubes to have high strength and stability under high temperature conditions.

Boiler economizer tubes: recover waste heat in flue gas and improve thermal efficiency, requiring the tubes to have good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.

Steam locomotive pipelines: including superheated steam pipes and boiling water pipes, used to transmit high-temperature and high-pressure steam and heated water, requiring the tubes to have good mechanical strength and high temperature resistance.
